ÖJAB pursues intensive cultural exchange with its Japanese partner organizations YUAI, YUAI Foundation in Tokyo, and Kai-You-Kai in Wakayama. The purpose here is to promote intercultural dialogue among young people while breaking down barriers of all kinds.
...with the YUAI Foundation, which is led by non-party members of high-ranking Japanese politicians of the Hatoyama family, and...
... with the youth organization Kai-You-Kai from Wakayama near Osaka, which is a member organization of the Japan-wide umbrella organization International Youth Exchange Organization of Japan (IYEO).
International educational work by ÖJAB means to promote intercultural dialogue of young people and to dismantle barriers of any kind by making foreigners a friend. Japan has always played a special role in ÖJAB history. Already since 1963 there are contacts, encounters and cooperations between ÖJAB and YUAI in Japan.
