Experiencing education beyond borders

Erasmus+ enables international encounters, learning opportunities, and exchanges of experience through its projects. The training sessions are free of charge to promote lifelong learning for many people in line with the EU's mission. Travel, accommodation, and meals (for international training sessions) are provided. The training is usually conducted in English.

CAREABILITY – INFO EVENT ON THE BEST PRACTICES HANDBOOK

Date: Thursday, 18 June 2026, 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Location: BPI der ÖJAB – Ausbildungzentrum Wien, Hermi-Hirsch-Weg 3, 1120 Vienna

Women with a migration background bring valuable experience to care work, but often lack access to recognised training pathways. The Erasmus+ CARE-ABILITY project develops flexible, inclusive vocational education and training programmes that help remove these barriers.

In this 60-minute info event, we will present the Best Practices Handbook developed as part of the project. It brings together proven recommendations from four countries — Austria, Spain, Slovenia and Greece — for educators, institutions and political decision-makers. Afterwards, we invite participants to join a discussion on how inclusive training pathways in the care sector can be designed. Online participation is possible.

Target group: prospective and current care professionals, especially women with a migration background, staff from care institutions, students in the social and healthcare sector, and anyone interested.

Organiser: ÖJAB as part of the Erasmus+ project CARE-ABILITY project number: 2025-1-SI01-KA220-ADU-000355500. Co-funded by the European Union.
