VET4Youth

Youth, Future, Digitalization, Sustainability

VET4Youth aims to support young people in finding qualified and future-proof employment, with a strong focus on digitalization and sustainability.

Building on the longstanding intercultural and economic ties between the European Union and the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean (SEMED) region, the VET4Youth project aims to strengthen the capacity of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector in Egypt, Lebanon, and Jordan. The focus will be on fostering digital and green innovation in teaching and learning.

Project objectives

  • Create a strategy tailored to the VET system and region to develop digital and green skills in learners, preparing them for the shift to a more digital and sustainable economy.
  • Increase the global connections of local VET institutes by organizing a study visit to Greece, offering virtual exchanges, and providing training to upskill their trainers.
  • Enhance learners’ digital and green skills and improve their job prospects by developing a modern, up-to-date curriculum.
  • Establish direct partnerships between local VET institutes and employers to ensure training aligns with job market needs.
  • Raise awareness about the importance of digital and green skills to help local labour markets transition more smoothly.

Targetgroup

  • Young VET learners: SEMED Learners
  • VET providers and teachers: SEMED VET institutes and teachers working directly with young people
  • Businesses & labour market representatives: SEMED businesses looking for skilled future talents
