How do I register for a dorm room?

Register online here. Online registration takes just a few minutes and is entirely free and nonbinding.

 

What documents do I need in order to register online?

You don’t need to provide any documents when registering online.

 

Do I obligate myself to anything by sending off an online registration form?

No. Online registration is entirely free and nonbinding.

Only after you’ve received confirmation of your dorm room’s availability and your first payment has reached us on time is your resident agreement finalized in a binding way.

Does it cost anything to register online?

No. Online registration is entirely free and nonbinding.

Once you’ve registered, we’ll put together an offer for you. You’ll then receive confirmation of your dorm room’s availability from us in writing. This confirmation will contain all the necessary information on the amount of money you’ll need to transfer and when it’s due. Only after you’ve received confirmation of your dorm room’s availability and your first payment has been received by us on time is your resident agreement finalized in a binding way.

 

How can I be sure that my registration has been received?

Once you’ve registered online, you’ll receive an automatic registration confirmation e-mail to inform you that your registration has reached us.

You’ll then receive your dorm room confirmation in a separate e-mail depending on availability. This written dorm room confirmation will also contain all the information you’ll need for the next steps.

 

Can I apply to live in multiple ÖJAB dorms when I register online?

Yes. When you register online, you can select up to three preferred dorms – your favorite plus a first and a second alternative. As long as we have places free, we’ll be happy to accommodate your wishes. We recommend that you really do list three dorms. That will make it more likely that we’ll be able to offer you a dorm room that has the qualities you’re looking for.

 

Do I have to register multiple times if I’m interested in more than one dorm?

No. One registration is enough. When registering, you can specify up to three preferred dorms. Multiple registrations will not improve your chances of receiving a dorm room.

 

What happens after I’ve completed my online registration?

Once you’ve registered online, you’ll receive an automatic e-mail confirming that your registration has reached us. We’ll then send you another e-mail containing a concrete offer (confirmation of availability) as soon as possible.

When you register online for a dorm room, you can indicate up to three preferred dormitories. If there’s no space left at your first choice, we’ll offer you a room in one of the other dorms you’ve listed if either of them has rooms available.
